Okay! Time to get to work - grab a journal (or the notes app on your phone) and jot down thoughts about the following:
Do you like your body?
Why and/or why not?
How long have you felt this way?
Have you done things to try to change your body?
Why or why not?
Did the things you try work? How do you know if they worked?
Did anything get worse when you attempted to change/control your body?
Can you remember ever feeling really great about your body?
What were the circumstances? Where were you? What were you doing? Who were you with? How were you behaving (eating, drinking, moving, socializing). Was this a healthy place to be in?
Do you believe that your feelings/opinions about your body are a FACT?
If yes - how do you know your feelings are facts? Can you find any evidence to the contrary? (i.e. are there women in bodies like yours doing things you believe you can't do? Wearing clothes you think you can't wear? Exercising in ways you think you can't? etc.)
