We are at WEEK SEVEN of the
Summer Food & Body Image Challenge!
And we need to talk about something major.
We need to talk about all the reasons you might choose to TURN away from this work - even when you know what you want and your motivation is strong.
We need to look at your FEARS, OBSTACLES, and RESISTANCE.
This work can bring up a lot of fears and resistance. We might as well list it all out now and get prepared to deal with it.
Make a list of:
All the reasons you can't do this work (you're too busy, it's too hard, you don't know what to do).
All the fears you have around this work (if you stop dieting you'll just give up, you'll gain a million pounds, you won't fit it, no one will get you).
All the resistance you have to doing the work (you're issues are different, this doesn't apply, you'll accept your body AFTER you lose X number of pounds).
Just list it all out.
Circle back to your motivation and ultimate goal.
With your fears and resistance listed out in front of you, do you still want it? Is it still worth it? Can you manage your fears, obstacles, and resistance so that you can get on with your dreams and goals?
