Self love does NOT = believing you/your body is perfect!

Self-love happens when you love our body regardless of how it looks. Regardless of how you've been eating or exercising and without any consideration as to how you look in a mini skirt.

Self-acceptance means you accept and care for ALL of you. The super fun, charming, makes-everyone-at-the-party laugh YOU and the gossipy, insecure, with-an-embarassing-hair-cut YOU.


Do you have kids? Then you know what I'm talking about. You LOVE your kids. You don't care if they have bum dimples or arm wobbles. You couldn't care less if they're 5 feet tall or 8 feet tall. You love them no matter what, just because. You love them when they win the big prize and you love them when they write on your white Corian counter-top with Sharpies. {Gah, I hate sharpies!!!} Seriously though, they could rob a bank and you'd STILL love them. Right?

That's how unconditionally you need to love and accept your body.

{No kids? That's great! That means you have way more money and free-time than me....instead, think about how you love your mom or your grandma. Same thing.}


BIG NOTE*** This does NOT mean that you can't be interested in being a better you. Or that you never have days where you're less than happy with your bod. It just means that you choose LOVE and SANITY and PEACE over constantly berating yourself and trying to manipulate the way you look/are through restriction and deprivation.
